Tess HolbrookI am the Head Director at The Chelsea Funnery an affordable summer program in Vermont focusing on Shakespeare, physicality, and teamwork for teens and youth. Along with running the non-profit, I direct a Shakespeare play with the campers every year. This is the most rewarding work I do each year. The Chelsea Funnery gives, not only its campers but the directors the opportunity to look inward and experiment with the performances that we put on. Each time it feels like I'm given a shot of confidence and silliness that lasts all year.
I graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Cinema Arts & Science and a focus on directing. I started out my career working in commercial marketing at Urban Rhino where I helped create ads and other videos for all types of clients. I continued on to work as a Field Producer for CCTV Center for Media & Democracy/Channel 17. I have worked in reality TV, on independent film projects, scripted television, and in post-production. |
